And then the room they put us in was wet and damp the entire stay!! We couldn't quite figure out where all the moisture was coming in, but all of our clothes and shoes got wet!! And there were NO room services available at this hotel.The newest project managed by the SPJA, Anime Conji or "AC", is an annual convention held in San Diego. But then upon check in they put us in a first floor room that looked directly into the public parking lot! I couldn't believe how bad this was. To learn that we were not at the actual property listed was bad enough. For starters, you're not going to stay at the hotel in the pictures - NO! It's actually a run down 2 star property about a half a mile away! Unbelievable that the likes of Sheraton/Marriott would do such a blatant bait & switch. This stay was both a bait & switch, and disaster and I strongly recommend not to waste your money on this place. So I'm used to consistent quality hotels in the Marriott portfolio. To start off, I'm a Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member. It’s a shame because I’ve always had great experiences while staying at Marriotts. The management at this hotel does not care about the safety of there guests. I still have had not one person follow up to the complaints. I’ve stayed in over 200 + hotels throughout the US and abroad and this is by far the WORST hotel experience I’ve ever had in my life. After the badgering they started to intimidate us, the one suit kept saying “this is for your safety”. One suit began to badger me asking if he could go in my suite as the other suit was telling my friend to stay in the hallway in an attempt to separate us as her young daughter stood behind us. These men never identified themselves nor gave there names. I recently stayed there (July 2022) with my friend and her young daughter and had to leave the Bay Tower of the hotel early due to two men dressed in suits that approached us in a hostile manner in the hallway on our floor in the afternoon as we were heading out. This hotel is EXTREMELY UNSAFE for any girls traveling solo or in a group. Special needs kid "doesn't feel safe here." Yeah none of us do.…ĭo NOT stay here.
